That’s Chase at some indeterminate, childhood age with the first (of two) fish he’s caught, making the same smug face he still makes.
All the digital pictures and video from the trip are up. Here’s a little recap of all the sets, though I may toss one or two individual images up over the following week or so.
And then God help us all when Chase and I finally get the film developed (he’s got a 1-gallon Ziploc bag full of 35mm and 120mm, and I’ve got about eight rolls of 35mm).
So we had our first vacation in years and I don’t think I learned anything. The valley still wins, although yes, our mountains are kinda small.

There has been a lot of hanging out and driving around and tromping the past couple of days. We went to some awesome shale slide ice cave things today. Pictures soon.
Coming up is the time that I’ll for sure be away from the computer (and even the little time I’ve squeezed in has left me with a hella GReader and LJ backlog, ouch). We’ll be going to Thermopolis and the Garden of Eden in Idaho.
Fun times. I can’t believe people do this vacation thing regularly.

A friend of Chase’s who is also from Buffalo was in town on his way to take his girl to Notre Dame, so the four of us went bowling.
